These are the last two boreholes to be:drilled. Previous to this drilling,
VEW 1 &2 and MW-2 were drilled in late April 1999_
F
The timing of this work is important to know what soil is present in the existing small stockpile.
The two large stockpiles were removed in early June 1999, after' the drilling of VEW 1 & 2 and
MW-2 and prior to the drilling of MW-1 & 3.
I
Therefore, the soil in the small stockpile on site is from MW-1 & 3- The data for these two
{ boreholes are attached_ The soil from MW-3 is not contaminated, while MW-1 was found to
contain low concentrations of BTEX, TPH-G,MTBE, and TBA! However, since this soil has sat
out outside for 5 months, through the summer heat and long w' rnx fall, this soil probably is not
contaminated any longer.
! F
It is recommended that this soil be spread out on site in the low area around former tank pit.
+.
Please review this situation and let me k ow if you approve this!action.
 Taizlc you,
f
4
Ray ss JAN 0 5 2000
!'
