Box 248
Escalon, California 95320
Evaluation=of Contamination in-the-Shal.-lowSoil
Former.Arco Gas Mini Mart, 1350 Escalon' Ave, Escalon, CA.
Dear Mr. Stidham: G
In reference to our phone conversation earlier today, thave prepared the following evaluation
of the possibility of contamination in the shallow soil at this site.
• In this case, shallow soil means the upper 2 to 3 feet of soil.
• The source of the gasoline contamination at this sited is the product piping for the two
pump islands,primarily the northern Pump Island. These pipes are at a depth of 2 feet.
• In an area approximately 15 foot radius from thetwo pump islands, the upper 10 to 15
feet of contaminated soil under the two pump islands have been dug up and are included
in the two stockpiles on this site.
• In the area of the right-a-way, the concrete and asphalt can be removed and disposed of
with out concern. Contamination was not discovered in the upper two feet of soil, except
in the area around the two pump islands. And this material has been dug up and
removed.
Respectfully Submitted;
4:
GEOLOGICAL TLCHNIC5 zNc.
Raynold I.
