This project consists of a Use Permit application <br /> for a slaughterhouse and chicken farm in the Ag-40(General Agdcufture,40-acre minimum)zone. The project includes <br /> the construction of a 4,000 square foot agricultural building to Ineiuoe a 1,600 square foot portion to be utilized as a <br /> slaughterhouse. The project also includes the construction of a 6,000 square foot chicken enclosure for a maximum of <br /> 600 chickens. Operations are planned for eight(8)hours a day,seven(7)days a week,and are expected to generate six <br /> (6)vehicle trips per day. The site will utilize a private well and septic system and be provided access from West Delta <br /> Avenue. The project site is on the south side of Delta Avenue,3,000 feet east o`MacArthur Drive,Tracy(APN/Adcress: <br /> 213-020.38,-47x7300 West Delta Avenue,Tracy). <br /> San Joaquin County is a signatory to San Joaquin County itdulfl-Species Habitat Conservation and Open Space Plan <br /> (SJMSCP). Paricipation in the SJMSCP satisfies requirements of both the state and federal endangered species acts, <br /> and ensures that the impacts are mitigated below a level of significance ir,compliance with the California Environmental <br /> Quality Act(CEQA). The LOCAL JURISDICTION retains responsibility for ensuring that:he app•opriate Incidental Take <br /> Minimization Measure are properly implemented and monitored and that appropriate fees are paid in compliance with the <br /> SJMSCP. Although participation in the SJMSCP Is voluntary,Local Jurisdiction/Lead Agencies should be aware that If <br /> project applicants choose against partic pacing in the SJMSCP,they w.11 be required to provide alternative mitigation in an <br /> amountand kind equal to that provided In the SJMSCP. <br /> This project is subject to the SJMSCP and is located within the unmapped land use area.
