SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND BUILDING INSPECTION
49:
_
W. <
1810 E. Mr . Herum was told by staff that the granting of the con-
tinuance would be at the Commission ' s discretion.
2 . Staff was unaware of the number of people wishing to
attend the hearing and oppose the project.
3 . When Mr . Herum was informed that staff would not be
recommending that the continuance be granted, he became
very abusive verbally to the staff planner . He also used
extensive profanity while berating that staff member. To
his credit, he has since sent a written apology to the
planner .
4 . During my phone conversation with Mr . Herum, he admitted
that he had not checked or considered the continued
hearing date prior to accepting the case.
5 . The previous continuance was granted for a five week period
to allow Mr . Nielsen to obtain an attorney.
CD:eel
c: UDCC
