r
! database includes Federal Superfund sites, State response sites, voluntary cleanup
sites, school cleanup sites, corrective action sites, and permitted hazardous waste
facilities.
LOGE searched both databases on August 8, 2009 for any listed sites within one-
quarter mile of the Site. The subject Site was not listed on either database, and no
facilities within one-quarter mile were identified on either database. Surrounding
addresses were located based on review of parcel information available through the
San Joaquin County District Viewer.
V/7.2 Environmental Health Deaarfiment Databases
On August 18, 2009, LOGE reviewed two databases maintained by the EHD, the
Underground Storage Tank Site Mitigation List, dated February 18, 2009, and the
LOPANon-LOP Sites list, dated June 18, 2009, for surrounding facilities of concern. No
listed facilities were found within one-quarter mile of the subject Site.
LOGE reviewed the EHD maps of Nitrate and DBCP Land Use Data dated October 22,
2001 at the EHD office. Of the two wells closest to the Site tested for nitrate, both were
found to have nitrate as NO3 levels between 21 and 44 parts per million (ppm). For the
two closest wells tested for DBCP, it was detected in one at 0.1 parts per billion (ppb)
and in the other at 1.4 ppb. LOGE also reviewed the Water Well Data Table dated
March 10, 2009 for nearby addresses that have been tested for these constituents.
Five nearby wells at addresses located within one mile of the Site were found to have
DBCP levels ranging from non-detect to 2.88 ppb and nitrate as NO3 levels ranging
from 4.0 to 21.0 ppm. The Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) set by the US EPA for
nitrate as NO3 is 45 pm; the MCL for DBCP is 0.2 ppb. Based on these results, it
appears that groundwater in the area contains both nitrate and DBCP; several nearby
wells exceed the MCL for DBCP.
J/L.3 Office of Emergency Services Databases
The San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services (OES) website was searched
on August 8, 2009 for the subject Site. No Hazardous Materials Business Plan records
were identified for the Site address.
Michelle Halliwell of the OES was interviewed by telephone on August 25, 2009. She
indicated at this time that no incident reports are on file in the OES database for the Site
I address, nearby addresses on Dustin Road, or Gill Creek.
" ,2.4 A ricultural Commissioner's Records
i
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office was contacted regarding
any agricultural use of the site.
