Based upon the number of employees given in the application, this water <br /> system will be classified as a noncommunity, nontransient water system <br /> according to State regulations and will require an annual permit to operate <br /> from this Division. The existing well shall meet California Code of <br /> Regulations, Title 22, drinking water standards or a new source shall be <br /> provided that meets Title 22 standards. Construction of a new source shall <br /> require an Environmental Health Division permit and inspection (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1115.3). <br /> 6. The well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental <br /> Health Division (San Joaquin County Development Title Section 9-1115.4(e)) <br /> as follows: ^C. <br /> a. Raise well casing 12 inches above ground level. <br /> b. Properly seal drop pipe into the well by providing a threaded steel cap <br /> or similar device. <br /> 7. Destruction or proper sealing the abandoned well(s) under permit and <br /> inspection by the Environmental Health Division is required if the well does <br /> not meet Title 22 drinking water standards. (San Joaquin County Development <br /> Title Section 9-1115.5(c)) <br /> 8. Submit application for a hazardous waste permit to the Environmental Health <br /> Division. <br /> (ORD/EHD) <br /> 9. If floor drains are required, they must be plumbed through a sand/oil separator <br /> and discharged to an above ground system approved by the Environmental <br /> Health,Division. This system must be designed by a registered engineer. The <br /> material collected in the above ground holding system must be analyzed for <br /> hazardous constituents prior to disposal. Specific test requirements may be <br /> obtained from the Environmental Health Division. A $156.00 plan check fee <br /> is required at the time of submittal. <br /> (ORD/EHD) <br /> 10. If hazardous material is stored on site, applicant must register with County <br /> Office of Emergency Services. <br /> (COND/EHD) <br /> 11. If hazardous waste is generated, applicant must obtain a EPA identification <br /> number and comply with applicable regulations. <br /> (COND/EHD) <br />
