On November 4, 2003 <br /> during.the drilling of the percolation test hole, the water well was not operating, According the <br /> Site plan, this well is planned to-be abandoned. A new water.well to serve the needs of the <br /> facility is proposed and should be placed,100 feet from any onsite or neighboring septic system. <br /> It appears that the area adjacent to Eleventh Street is most suitable. 'One possible location is <br /> indicated on Plate 1. <br /> . On Site drillirig conducted on November 4, 2003 indicated the Aqpth to groundwater was 9.2 feet <br /> below the ground.-Surface. <br /> 4.3 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues <br /> Beyond the septic and water well permit search confere <br /> ed at the Environmental Health. <br /> Department,no environmental records or databases <br /> accessed for the Site or surrounding <br /> area. It is unknown weather any underground storage tanks exist on the Site. Other than asphalt <br /> patches,there were no visible signs of tanks.or potential ground water contamination sources., <br /> The use of a conventional onsite septic system should be considered as a potential ground water <br /> contamination source- <br /> 4.4 Water Sample Location <br /> Water samples from a water well were collected ine theected and tested for Nitrate-and DBCP. The water <br /> quality from the well was_tested to determwaterquality of the aquifer from which that <br /> -Well draws drinking water.. <br /> An attempt was made to start the onsite water well located at,7618 West.Eleventh Street. After <br /> several attempts with the assistance of the owner;the well failed to start.- Therefore a ground <br /> water sample was collected next door(dust west) at 7650 West Eleventh Street(posted address as ' <br /> 7360 West.Eleventh) on December 29, 2003. Three-water samples'were collected from the sink . <br /> M.in the shop building. Thesamples,were collected"by David Welch of our,office. <br />
