The purpose of our
study was to determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The study was
performed in general accordance to the requirements of Section 9-10100© of San Joaquin
County Ordinance. The following includes background information regarding the proposed
development, present use of the site, and the groundwater depth in the project area. In addition,
discussions regarding our investigative procedures and the site conditions encountered during
our field exploration and the results of percolation tests are presented. Finally, the results of our
nitrate loading calculations and project limitations are provided.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
On a preliminary basis, we understand the subject 0.96-acre project site will contain two
commercial buildings. The site currently contains two commercial buildings, one of which is to
be replaced. According to you, the two businesses will have a total of about 6 employees, with
about.3 employees in each building. Neither building ,rill have cafeteria facilities inside..-..._
{
We anticipate that waste disposal for the buildings will be provided by an individual on-site
sewage disposal system consisting of a septic tank/leach trench sewage disposal system.
GROUNDWATER DEPTH
During the time of our investigation, groundwater was encountered at a depth of approximately 9
feet-below existing site grade.
12573/2002R320 June 11,2002
©2002 Kleinfelder,Inc. ?
