Before any hazardous materials/waste can be stored or used onsite, the owner/operator <br /> must report to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) which can be <br /> found at cers.calepa.ca.gov/for the following: <br /> a. Any amount of hazardous waste (for distribution centers this may include broken <br /> or damaged pallets (or individual containers) of hazardous materials, soaps, <br /> perfumes, cleaners, dyes, nicotine, over the counter medicines, or other <br /> household items packaged for sale that have been damaged; used oil, used oil <br /> filters, used oil-contaminated absorbent/debris, waste antifreeze, used batteries or <br /> other universal waste, etc.)—Hazardous Waste Program <br /> b. Onsite treatment of hazardous waste — Hazardous Waste Treatment Tiered <br /> Permitting Program <br /> c. Reportable quantities of hazardous materials-reportable quantities are 55 gallons <br /> or more of liquids, 500 pounds for solids, or 200 cubic feet for compressed gases, <br /> with some exceptions.
