The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study <br /> incorporating proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic <br /> tank usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of building permit(s) (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading study is required, and a <br /> review fee of$465.00 must be paid at time of submittal to the Environmental Health <br /> Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> E system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane <br /> (DBCP) and nitrates prior to issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and <br /> analyzed by a State-approved laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1115.7). <br /> C. Construction of individual sewage-disposal-systems) under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development based on the Soil <br /> Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study findings (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section <br /> 9-1110.3 & 9-1110.4). <br /> D. Applicant is to prepare a manure management plan outlining the handling of all bird(s) <br /> wastes and incorporating vector control measures. A $186.00 plan check fee is required at <br /> time of submittal, per the Porter-Cologne Water Quality Act, Chapter 4, Section 13260- <br /> 13263. <br /> E. All liquid and solid vector wastes and vector problems associated with this poultry operation <br /> are to be retained on the premises, so as not to cause a nuisance or a health problem (Porter- <br /> Cologne Water Quality Control Act, Chapter 4, Article 4, Section 13260-13263). Any <br /> complaints that are verified against this site will be charged the Environmental Health <br /> Department hourly rate of$93.00 for response and correction as per Board of Supervisors <br /> i Resolution B-92-1591. <br /> MR Cf <br />
