r
5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Keyes-Redding Complex
and Redding Gravelly Loam has very slow permeability and Peters Clay has a slow permeability thus;
percolation rates were 36 to 50 min/in. (See Appendix).
6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6,1 Site Map Showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test
holes on the parcel: See Appendix.
6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for Each
Parcel: Three shallow percolation test holes were prepared, one on each proposed parcel.
6.3 Description of the Date, Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole, Including Depth
and Dimensions of Hole, Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak(Minimum 12
Inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and
10 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County
Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Mike Toy on November 14, 2008 at 7:00 a.m. On
November 18 2008 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The holes were filled with 12
inches of water over the gravel at this time.
6.4 Description of the Date, Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour Soak Period
(Hole Still Intact,Hole Dry, Depth to Water Remaining in Hole,Etc.): On November 19, 2008
at 7:30 a.m. the three shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water was added to the holes and the
F holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow tests passed the minimum County requirements.
6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, diameter, 2"
gravel,6" Water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation tests conformed to San
Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02.
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (Including Readings) Was Provided With REHS Verification
Signature. The Rate Was Correctly Calculated Using the Last Reading:
See Appendix for Test Result Form.
Shallow
Fr TEST HOLE PERCOLATION RATE
1 (Parcel 1) 50 MINJIN.
2 (Parcel 2) MINJIN.
F3 (Parcel 3) 42 MINJIN.
*See Results in Appendix.
6.7 Discussion of Any Potential Problems Predicted and/Or the Need for An Engi Bred or
Alternative Septic System: In this area, the soils are classified as Keyes-Redding pn{Te
,Peters
I 1 Clay, and Redding Gravelly Loam. Due to this classification and percolation rates tared
system similar to the ones found on the other homesites would be recommended a parcel .
F3
 ember 2008
c:108501Soi1 SuitabiVity Report Dec ,
