We understand that your office does
not agree with the flow rates which our office obtained from the Crites and Tchobanoglous
reference presented in our Soil Suitability Study/Nitratc Loading Study. Ryan Carrel of
Associated Engineering Group prepared the revised calculations for the septic system based on
the Sewage Standards of San Joaquin County(for calculations, see attachment).
Associated Engineering has determined the average daily flow the site will be 375 gallons per
day. The nitrate loading calculation presented next will be adjusted to reflect this increase.
Please see the revised nitrate loading calculations attached to this letter.
Please refer to the soil suitability/nitrate loading study prepared by Neil O. Anderson&
s Associates, dated March 28,2003,job number LG03-052 for additional information regarding
the soil conditions, soil percolation rates, and ground water conditions.
f
I Crites,R.,Tchobanoglous,G., I998,Small and decentralized wastewater management systems:
McGraw-Hill series in water resources and environmental engineering,McGraw-Hill Boston first edition,Table 4-3
page 172,bar category.
1 r ti
Y m
o h
4fsOLr J
l _ - f
