Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be <br /> modified. <br /> A. A qualified environmental professional shall prepare a surface and subsurface contamination <br /> report, identifying any potential source of surface or subsurface contamination caused by past <br /> or current land uses. The report shall include evaluation of non-point source of hazardous <br /> materials, including agricultural chemical residues, as well as potential point sources, such as <br /> fuel storage tanks, septic systems, or chemical storage areas. If the report indicates there is <br /> contamination, corrective action shall be taken, as recommended in the report and concurred <br /> with by Environmental Health prior to issuance of the building permit(San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Section 9-905.12(a)(c)). A fee of$186.00 is due at time of submittal. <br /> B. Environmental Health Department requires a Soil Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study <br /> indicating that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be performed prior to <br /> parcel/final map(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A Nitrate <br /> Loading Study is required, and a review fee of$465.00 must be paid at time of submittal to <br /> Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> f system is required for each parcel.
