KLEINEELDER
An employee owned company
! s 2 9 2005
File No. 55208.G01' a ENVlflONPAhIT HEALTH
June 24, 2005 (revised) pERM17i5ER} cES
Mr. Ernest Bezley
P.O. Box 580
Clements, CA 95227 5
'R
Subject: ADDENDUM (REVISED)
SOIL SUITABILITY AND NITRATE LOADING STUDIES
- PA— ,D5=38(LA)..
18694 EAST STATE ROUTE 88
CLEMENTS, CALIFORNIA it
F
Dear Mr. Bezley:
Kieinfelder presents thisaddendumin response to San Joaquin County Environmental Health
(SJCEHD) review;comments on our soil suitability study dated June 1, 2005. This letter is to
replace our previous letter dated June 10, 20051. SJCEHD has asked that we discuss whether the
hilly terrain can support a home, sewage disposal system, and well in accordance with San
Joaquin County standards. J
The slopes at the';project site are generally located within the 10 lots proposed for residential
development (Parcels 2 through 11). Some slopes are encountered in the proposed commercial
and agricultural lots (Parcels 1, 12, and 13); however, the majority of these three proposed lots
are relatively level.
Based on San Joaquin County Onsite Wastewater Disposal Standards, the grade of each leach
line must not be greater than 3 inches per 100 feet of length. As a result, any sewage disposal
systems constructed on a slope would need':to be laid out following (parallel) the elevation
'is-maxim
contouis oftliehil'1 If tYieexisfing'terrain=is too steep to accomrriodate thum'leacli me_
slope, an adequate engineered system would 'need to be constructed or, if possible, the sewage
disposal system will need to be moved to a more level portion of the lot.
to
It is our opinion that homes and wells may be constructed within each parcel. However, wells
should be located in accordance with all SJCEHD setback requirements.
II I
I
I
55208.G0IIST05L21 1
June 24,2005
c0 2405 Kleinfelder, Inc.
