First St., Victor
Land Use Application # PA-03-47 (UP)
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil Suitability
Study, dated June 18, 2003,prepared by Kleinfelder, and has the following comments for your
consideration.
The Soil Suitability Study has been found incomplete. Please refer to the attached checklist for
items found to be insufficient. Please provide an addendum to the Soil Suitability Study
addressing the items noted in the checklist.
In addition, please be advised that the suitability of the site for septic tank usage cannot be fully
established until the following conditions of approval have been satisfied. These items should
also be addressed in the addendum.
• In order to utilize the existing septic systems at the site, each system shall be sufficiently
uncovered and inspected by EHD staff(consultation inspection fee $93.00/hour) to verify that
the systems meet the minimum requirements (construction, capacity, location) of the San
Joaquin County Sewage Standards and the findings of the soil suitability study for the
proposed use (number of employees).
• Submit a revised site plan showing the leach field areas as determined by the above noted
investigation. The plan must show the leach field areas to be barricaded (describe type of
barricade to be installed) so the septic systems cannot be driven over, parked on, or used as a
storage area. The leach fields must be used for that specific purpose only, and cannot contain
any underground utility lines. The plan must show the location of the 100%replacement
areas. All septic systems and replacement areas must be shown on the legal parcel indicated
in the use permit application.
