I I. INTRODUCTION
Dillon & Murphy was retained by Victor Podesta to perform a Soil Suitability
Study for the property located at 7921 N. Podesta Lane, Linden, CA. The subject parcel
number is APN 091-350-01 . The purpose of the study is to determine the suitability of
the property for septic tank usage as required by the County. The study was performed
according to the requirements of Section 10100 of San Joaquin County Development
Code.
} II. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The property is currently zoned AG-40. The Podesta property consists of a
67.50 acre parcel (see appendix for map). PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE
Presently, Parcel 1 is a walnut orchard and contains an agriculture well at the
north end of the property. At an adjacent property an exploratory bore hole was drilled.
Refer to Application 93-1457 dated July 26, 1993 (see Appendix).
IV. EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
l :
Parcel 1 will require a septic system when developed. The recommended
septic area for this site is 12,000 square feet. At site address 7507 N. Podesta
F Lane, there was a system repair on the well tank as stated on permit no-88-2319
(See Appendix). In 1998 there was an addition to the existing
septic system done by Morton Septic.
V. GROUND WATER AND DEPTH TESTING.
According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth of Water Wells" published
Fall, 1999, by the San Joaquin County Flood Control and.Water Conversation District,
the depth to groundwater at this location is approximately 140 feet (see Appendix) The
gradient ground water in the project area slopes south to north according to the map of
lines of equal elevation published in the Spring of 1999 by San Joaquin County Flood
Control and Water Conversation District (see Appendix). Water samples were taken
from water faucet located by the office of the adjacent property and analyzed for
1 nitrates and DBCP. Samples were taken by Mike Toy of Dillon & Murphy the same day
l i the percolation tests were performed. The samples were taken using the criteria of
Precision Environ Tech.
