Fremont
The Ordinance Requirements listed below have been identified as
pertinent to this project. Other Ordinance Requirements may also
apply. Ordinance Requirements are not appealable.
a. A yearly permit to operate a public water system under the
provisions of Title 22, CCR, will be required by the
Environmental Health Division.
b. If floor drains are required in the storage building
conversion, they must be plumbed through a sand/oil separator
and discharged to an above ground system approved by the
Environmental Health Division. This system must be designed
by a registered engineer. Applicant must file an application
for facility permit/waste discharge with the California Valley
Region. The application forms can be obtained from the
Environmental Health Division. If the above ground holding
facility had to be emptied you first would have to analyze the
contents for any hazardous material. You can obtain specific
test requirements from the Environmental Health Division.
C. If hazardous material is stored on site applicant must
register with County Office of Emergency Services.
d. An Improvement Plan shall be submitted showing the location of
the well and sewage disposal area (including a 100%
expansion) .
State on revised plans or improvement plans the maximum
number of employees the sewage disposal system is being
designed for and that the leach field area will be
barricaded so it cannot be driven over, parked on or used
as a storage area. This leach field area must be used
for that specific purpose only and cannot contain any
underground utility lines. Also identify which storage
building is to be converted.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
