 U
City of Ripon Well#12
-- Nitrate Study Report May 31,2006
5.3 Analytical Results
The following describes the analytical results from the well sampling events. Appendix B contains the
laboratory results.
5.3.1 Analytical Results from Supply Wells
No VOCs or Semi-VOCs were detected above laboratory reporting limits. Nitrate was reported in four of
the five wells sampled. The Jimco active well, the RFS, Posadas, and Kamps water supply wells
contained 63, 86, 93, and 150 mg/I nitrate as NO3, respectively. The laboratory analysis results are
summarized in Table 3.
5.3.2 Analytical Results from Monitoring Wells
Nitrate was detected in wells MW-5, MW-103, and MW-104 at concentrations of 290 mg/I, 700 mg/I, and
250 mg1l nitrate as NO3, respectively, by the standard chromatography method of analysis. The results
for the anode probe analysis were consistently less but comparable to those detected by
chromatography. This result is consistent with the spike recovery results being greater than 100 percent
(Table 4). Table 4 lists these laboratory analytical results (J&L Analysis) as well as the RFS analysis of
the split samples (CTEL and McCampbell).
aroma Wen 12 kaput ox 5-3 The Bourne Group, M&
