Other requirements may also apply. These requirements cannot be <br /> modified. <br /> A. The Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study <br /> incorporating proposed staff and customer use, indicating that the area is suitable for septic <br /> system usage. This must be performed prior to issuance of building penri t(s). (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A review fee of$475.00 must be paid at <br /> time of submittal to the Environmental Health Department. <br /> The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin <br /> County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of <br /> septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal <br /> system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$95.00 per percolation hole is required. <br /> B. The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane <br /> (DBCP) and nitrates prior to issuance of building permit(s). Samples are to be taken and <br /> analyzed by a State-approved laboratory(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9- <br /> 1115.7). <br /> C. Open,pump, and backfill the septic tank, seepage pit or excavation under permit and <br /> inspection by the Environmental Health Department(San Joaquin County Development <br /> Title, Section 9-1110.3 &9-1110.4). <br /> D. The Environmental Health Department requires the abandoned well(s)be destroyed under <br /> permit and inspection by the Environmental Health Department if the existing domestic well <br /> is to be abandoned(San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.5(e)). <br />
