We would like to respond to this application as
follows:
1 . After driving by the other plastic recycling factory in
our area it has come to our attention that these businesses
are an eyesore. There were plastic remnants blowing
everywhere and since plastic is non-biodegradeable, the
only solution to the mess is someone physically cleaning
it up on their property.
2 . The ingress and egress of the trucks off of French Camp
Road will only add to an existing problem with vehicles
traveling West on State Route 120 exiting at French Camp
Road at speeds in excess of 50 mph. That particualr exit
is blind until you actually make the right turn and the
proposed driveway for the plant is only 100 feet or so
after you make the turn.
3 . The possibility of ground water contamination is a real
consideration with any operation such as this . We depend
on the ground water for our wells continued high quality
drinking water. Water that is non-potable will cause loss
of land values and would also effect the crops grown in
this area.
4 . The proposed location of this business is already an
eyesore and certainly reflects the attitude of the landowner.
We have no reason to believe that since he does not live
there that the conditions of the property will be of any
concern.
