Jo. U4I 1J7J J_]Ll JJ-G7OOJ
.n:.rirul.n rur'L r:uc Ji
March 29,2000
San Joaquin Courcy
Community Development Department
COntact Persue'Tina Welumeister
Application Numeber GP-99-11,GP-00-2,UP-00a.ZR-00-1
Tim,
I lived at 2592 E. French Camp Rd Iviameca.Ca I received the Application Referral on the
propose change of zoning from AIG to Irf. R is stated that there is parking for 100 trucks-
1 live across from California Hot Woods,Brinders,& Ace Tomato. I have appeared several
times before the planning commission in the past. There has been several attempts to change the
Zoning in the Last 3 years. It has been stated that this is Ag-40,and business that was allowed had
to be agriculture related and seasonal The last expansion of California Hotwoods included the
Installation of a center nun lane in front of my house. I have the first hand experience of knowing
what it is to live across the street of agriculture re related business. I have spend ten thousands dollars
replacing my windows to try to attempt to block out the noise from the trucks, reefers, and the in dic
middle of the nigh:mashing and bangm& I know what it is like to have trucks line up trying to enter
the businesses at peak times. I have seen accidents and near misses. Once a truck touch a school bus
in front of our house. Luck had it the no one was hurt
I can speak fust hand of noise pollution, I have complain several times to the county of my concerns.
To no satisfaction. I notice there is a chain link fence around this proposed truck terminal,it is not a
good[mise protector. There needs to be a solid wall surrounding this business. Also Antonni
Entap an&LLc should pay the replacement window cost of homes within a mile to help deaden the
noise.
I world also poim out if you have 90 tacks coming and going most days, and a truck lefl every 2
minutes that is 6 hours of truck traffic at their gates-The speed limit is 55 and you will trucks making
A Left hum out of the terminal in front of moss traffic. I would further point out this is a hcav} tufty
fog area with several school buses using this road The danger is to high to risk
This tuck business should really be up on Airport Way a four-lane road without heavy traffic.Thcrc
are several other truck termirrils there already.
I think this project should not be allowed to proceed in this heavy traveled two-lane road.
Sincerely.
FRED SEVERS
2592 E.French Camp Road
983-1387 or 925-382-0276
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
-20-
