The City of Stockton and the County Public Works Department have plans for the future
widening of French Camp Road, which is the eastern frontage and the access point of
the project site. Again, the site plan shows the future extent of French Camp Road and
all structures are located out of the future right-of-way. The access driveways from
existing French Camp Road and signs will be temporary until the road expansion
commences. The project is planned to accommodate the proposed road widening.
Riparian Habitat
The project site is located adjacent to French Camp Slough. It is not known at this time
if any Riparian Habitat exists near the project site. A project referral has been sent to
the State Department of Fish & Game and the U.S Fish &Wildlife Service for review. At
the time the full application is submitted, an Initial Study will be prepared to determine if
there are any significant environmental impacts. If any impacts are identified, the project
will be reevaluated. The Department of Fish & Game and the U.S Fish &Wildlife Service
will be sent project referrals when a full application is submitted.
Cultural Resources
The Community Development Department received a phone call from Kathy Perez, a
representative from the Yokut Tribe, regarding the project. Ms. Perez was concerned
that the project site may contain significant Native American resources. This issue will be
addressed in the Initial Study upon submittal of the full application. It may be necessary
to conduct a cultural resource survey of the project site.
Services
The project site is currently being served by a public water system. The applicant has
proposed to utilize on-site sewage treatment. The applicant has proposed to utilize an
existing storm drainage system that drains runoff from the project site directly into
French Camp Slough via an existing 36-inch outflow structure. At the time of submittal
of the full application, the drainage pattern and corresponding storm drain improvements
must be shown on the site plan. Drainage calculations prepared by a registered civil
engineer or architect shall be included.
NOTE: The pre-application conference is designed to inform prospective applicants of
General Plan consistency, zoning consistency, public improvement requirements,
preliminary design constraints and opportunities, and major environmental and safety
issues. This information is provided in the hope of assisting the applicant in submitting a
better and more complete application, as well as minimizing processing time. It is not
intended to be an in-depth analysis, and an environmental assessment is not completed.
The applicant should be aware that a detailed review will not be done until the full
application is submitted. Also, if new or additional information is obtained, a revised
application or Environmental Impact Report may be required.
JF:vb
SA0122
Attachments
