Application — Site Approval Exhibit C Litter Control Measures As required by law, all vehicles transporting greenwaste to the site, or finished materials from the site, will be covered to prevent any contents escaping. The processing area, approximately 1/3 of the site, will be located on the site so as to minimize dust and litter from vehicle traffic. The remaining 2/3 of the site may be used for agricultural crops, or will be cultivated to reduce dust and litter. Also, a plastic or nylon fabric will be attached to the chain link fence surrounding the site to contain any debris which may be blown East by the prevailing winds. Unplanned Hazardous Wastes Since material to be processed at this site will be only greenwaste from landscape maintenance, delivered directly to the site on a regular basis, it is not anticipated that hazardous wastes will be found. Material will be gathered at a receiving site and inspected before being transported to the processing site. Curbside greenwaste, which has a higher possibility of being contaminated or containing hazardous materials, will not be accepted. If hazardous wastes are found in the raw material, it would immediately be quarantined, and disposed of properly, depending on its nature. Dust Control Measures A water truck and movable sprinkler system will be used to water the ground surface and keep it from drying out. Employee Training and Complaint Response Protocol Employees working on site will be thoroughly train on the composting process, and will be encouraged to respond positively to complaints. All adjoining neighbors will be contacted and advised of the purpose of the activity on the site, and will be provided with contact names and telephone number to call with any concerns. Any complaints will be investigated and resolved expiditiously by company management.
