5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION: _ 5.1 Site map showing location,with dimensions, of the soil profile pit on the parcel: See Appendix. 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions: The shallow test hole was prepared per County Standards. The hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter. It was backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel." 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using industry standard protocol: The soil in this area is classified as Finrod Clay Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Jack Tone Clay has slow permeability thus; the percolation rates were 27.7 min/in on the hole that met County criteria. One test hole failed to meet passing criteria. (See Appendix). 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION 6.1 Site Map Showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for Each Parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared. 6.3 Description of the Date,Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole,Including Depth and Dimensions of Hole, Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak (Minimum 12 Inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel' in accordance with County Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Alex Colla of Dillon&Murphy on June 20, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. On June 21, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. 6.4 Description of the Date,Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour Soak Period(Hole Still Intact, Hole Dry,Depth to Water Remaining in Hole,Etc.): On June 22, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. the two shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water was added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. One of the shallow tests passed the minimum County requirements. 6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, diameter, 2" gravel, 6" Water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation test conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form(Including Readings) Was Provided With REHS Verification Signature.
