5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION: <br /> _ 5.1 Site map showing location,with dimensions, of the soil profile pit on the parcel: See <br /> Appendix. <br /> 5.2 Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions: The shallow test hole was <br /> prepared per County Standards. The hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and <br /> 8 inches in diameter. It was backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel." <br /> 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using <br /> industry standard protocol: The soil in this area is classified as Finrod Clay Loam as stated in <br /> the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided by the United States Department <br /> of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. <br /> 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Jack Tone Clay <br /> has slow permeability thus; the percolation rates were 27.7 min/in on the hole that met County <br /> criteria. One test hole failed to meet passing criteria. (See Appendix). <br /> 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 6.1 Site Map Showing the location,with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation <br /> test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. <br /> 6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for Each <br /> Parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared. <br /> 6.3 Description of the Date,Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole,Including <br /> Depth and Dimensions of Hole, Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak <br /> (Minimum 12 Inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and <br /> 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel' in accordance with County <br /> Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Alex Colla of Dillon&Murphy on <br /> June 20, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. On June 21, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was <br /> started. The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. <br /> 6.4 Description of the Date,Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour Soak <br /> Period(Hole Still Intact, Hole Dry,Depth to Water Remaining in Hole,Etc.): On <br /> June 22, 2007 at 7:30 a.m. the two shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water was added to <br /> the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. One of the shallow tests passed the <br /> minimum County requirements. <br /> 6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, <br /> diameter, 2" gravel, 6" Water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation test <br /> conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02. <br /> 6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form(Including Readings) Was Provided With REHS <br /> Verification Signature.
