Eleven monitoring events have been
completed to date since the groundwater investigation was initiated in April 2000. Trace
levels of Xylene were present in MW-1. All other monitoring wells were non-detect for
BTEX, TPH-G and the oxygenate compounds. The deep well MW-101 was non-detect for
the sixth consecutive event, strongly su estin that the contamination previously recorded
g Y gg g
p Y
was a drilling artifact and not indicative of a deeper contaminant plume.
The groundwater gradient for September 23, 2002, is 0.0013 ft/ft flowing N831W. This is
consistent with pant events (see Figure 2). Depth to groundwater at the site was
approximately 64 feet below ground surface (bgs).
i
A vertical groundwater gradient calculation was made for the September 2002 groundwater-
monitoring event. The vertical gradient was found to be in a downward direction with a
r slope that is approximately equal to the water table horizontal gradient.
L
— The internal combustion engine (I.C.) was set in operation on February 5, 2002. The IC ran
until February 27, 2002 when it was shutdown and removed from the site because it was not
L
