The I.C. is being used
to control emissions from the soil vapor extraction system operating at the Former Arco Mini
Mart site.
Influent and effluent air samples were collected on August 14, 2002 and. the attached
calculations show that the I.C. was meeting the 95% efficiency standard. High levels of C2-C4
hydrocarbons were reported in the effluent sample. Hydrocarbons in this range have been
observed in the.effluent samples in the past and were a result of the supplemental propane fuel
not being consumed. The subcontractor supplying the IC has been directed to look into and
correct this situation.
Monthly samples will continue to be collected and the results will be submitted to.your office.
If you should have any questions regarding this project please contact myself or Ray Kablanow
at the office.
Respectfully S it ,
+ ClEOLOCrlCAL TECOVNICS INC. .
Michael J.Niemi
Geologist
cc: Lori Duncan— SJC PHS/EHD
Gordon Boggs—RWQCB-CVR
Doug Stidham—City of Escalon
USTCFP
{
