The I.C. is
being used to control emissions from the soil vapor extraction system operating at the Former
Arco Mini Mart site.
The IC was shutdown and removed from the site on February 27, 2002 because it was not
properly controlling emissions from the vapor extraction system. The IC was completely
rebuilt, new pistons, rings, valves and catalytic converters. The IC was returned to the site ori
April 22, 2002 and restarted. Problems were encountered with the IC for the first-week that
were causing the IC to shutdown unexpectedly. These problems were worked out and the IC
has been in continuous operation since April 30, 2002.
The attached calculations show that the I.C. was meeting the 95% efficiency standard and that
the effluent emissions are below the required 40.7 pounds per day.
t Monthly samples will continue to be collected and the results will be submitted to your office.
j If you should have any questions regarding this project please contact myself or Ray Kablanow
at the office.
f
Respectfully S mitted,
4
CTEOLOC1CAL TECMNICS INC
Michael J.Niemi
Geologist
cc: Lori Duncan SJC PHS/EHD
Gordon Boggs—RWQCB-CVR
Doug Stidham—City of Escalon
USTCFP
4
