Ten monitoring events have been completed to <br /> date since the groundwater investigation was initiated in April 2000. The results of <br /> ranalytical data indicate that detectable concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon <br /> L,1 compounds (BTEX) and gasoline" range petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in <br /> one of the 'six monitoring wells. The deep ;well MW-101 was non-detect for the fifth <br /> r consecutive event, strongly suggesting that the contamination previously recorded was a <br /> drilling artifact and not indicative of a deeper contaminant plume. <br /> The groundwater gradient for June 28, 2002, is 0.0019 ft/ft flowing N68°W. This is <br /> consistent with past events see Figure 2 Depth to groundwater at the site was <br /> P ( g ) , p <br /> approximately 62 feet below ground surface(bis) for both events. <br /> A vertical groundwater gradient calculation was made for the June 2002 groundwater- <br /> monitoring event. The vertical gradient was found to be in a downward direction with a <br /> ' slope that is:approximately equal to the water table horizontal gradient. <br /> a <br />
