qedogicat Tec%ccs `at
110171h street
Modesto,California 95354
(209)522-4119/Fax(209)522-4227
REPORT
Groundwater Monitoring
2nd Quarter 2004
City of Escalon
Former Arco Gas Mini Mart
L1305 Escalon Ave.Escalon, CA
1^ Project No. 750.2
L August 30, 2004
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the 2nd Quarter 2004 groundwater monitoring and sampling event
that took place at the site on May 7, 2004. Groundwater samples collected from MW-4
r showed trace levels of some BTEX constituents.
L The groundwater gradient for the 2nd Quarter 2004, is 0.0028 ft/ft flowing N83°W. This is
consistent with past events (see Figure 4). Depth to groundwater at the site was
approximately 64.21-feet below ground surface (bgs). The average elevation of groundwater
for the May 7, 2004, groundwater-monitoring event was 55.94 feet above mean sea level.
LM 2004 groundwater-
monitoring
vertical groundwater gradient calculation was made for the May g
monitoring event. The vertical gradient was found to be in a downward direction with a
slope that is less thanthe water table horizontal gradient.
Oxidation-reduction potential is positive in all monitoring wells. Dissolved oxygen ranges
between 4.3 and 7.3 ppm. The pH at the site ranges between 7.1 and. 7.3. All these
indicators suggest the site is ideal for natural biodegradation.
r
r
L`
