Eight events have been completed to date since
the groundwater investigation was initiated in April 2000. The results of analytical data
indicate that detectable concentrations of the aromatic compounds hydrocarbon corn BTEX and
Y p ( )
total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in one of the six monitoring wells. The
deep well MW-101 was non-detect for the second consecutive event and this suggests that
the contamination previously recorded was a drilling artifact and not indicative of a deeper
contaminant plume.
The groundwater gradient is 0.001 ft/ft flowing N77°W which is consistent with past events
(see Figures 2 & 3). Depth to groundwater at the site was approximately 63 feet below
ground surface (bgs).
A vertical groundwater gradient calculation was made for the groundwater monitoring
event. The vertical gradient was found to be in a downward direction with a slope that is
' approximately one order of magnitude greater than the water table horizontal gradient. This
is consistent with past events.
r
