This was the sixth consecutive quarterly
groundwater monitoring event. The results of analytical data indicate that detectable
w
concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and total petroleum
hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in two of the six monitoring wells. The BTEX
concentrations in well MW-1 have fallen to non-detect levels for the first time in the
investigation. The deep well MW-101 is now non-detect as well and this suggests that the
_ contamination previously recorded was a drilling artifact and not indicative of a deeper
contaminant plume.
The groundwater gradient is 0.0024 ft/ft flowing N78°W which is consistent with past
events (see Figures 2 & 3). Depth to groundwater at the site was approximately 61 feet
below ground surface(bgs).
A vertical groundwater gradient calculation was made for the groundwater monitoring event
and found to be in a downward direction with a slope that is approximately four times
greater in magnitude then the water table horizontal gradient.
 L
f
