This was the fifth consecutive quarterly
I groundwater monitoring event. The results of analytical data indicate that detectable `
concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and total petroleum f
hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in three of the six monitoring wells. The presence of
contamination in well MW-I is consistent with past monitoring events. The deep well MW- 4
101 has experienced a reduction in contaminant concentrations from the initial
concentration found on December 1, 2000. Well MW-101 needs further monitoring to
determine if the contamination detected is a drilling artifact or indicative of a deeper plume.
The groundwater gradient is 0.0023 ft/ft flowing N83°W, identical to the last event (see f
Figures 2 & 3). Infact, the groundwater flow direction has been consistent towards the NW. k
Depth to groundwater at the site was approximately 61 feet below ground surface (bgs).
A vertical groundwater gradient calculation was made for the groundwater monitoring event
and found to be in a downward direction with a slope that is approximately five times
greater in magnitude then the water table horizontal gradient. }
f
 I
