Page 3 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> f Project No. 750.2 <br /> October 19,2000 <br /> LThe purge water was placed in a 55 gallon DOT approved container, properly labeled and <br /> P Y <br /> stored on site until its proper disposition can be arranged. <br /> LGroundwater monitoring field logs are included in Appendix C. <br /> g PP <br /> 1.3 Laboratory Analyses <br /> The groundwater samples collected on September 1, 2000 were delivered to Sherwood Lab <br /> L (Department of Health Services Certification No. 1400), of Hilmar, California, for analysis. <br /> ' The three-groundwater samples were analyzed for: j <br /> E <br /> 0 Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl Benzene, and Xylene (BTEX). <br /> 0 Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA method 5030/8015(M). <br /> LAdditional samples were sent to Entech Analytical Labs, Inc. from Sherwood Labs for the <br /> analysis of- <br /> • Fuel oxygenated compounds (MTBE, DIPE, ETBE, TAME & TBA) by EPA method <br /> L 8260. <br /> M <br /> The detection limits for the above analyses are listed in Table 2 of Appendix A and the lab <br /> ' L• data is presented in Appendix B. <br /> L2.0 FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION <br /> LThe results of the groundwater sample analyses show the following: <br /> • Currently only one monitoring well (MW-1) shows impact from gasoline range <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons and its additives. <br /> L_ • MTBE concentrations in MW-I continue to fluctuate as in the previous two events. <br /> • Groundwater contamination appears to be defined to the north, east and south by non- <br /> detects in HP-6, MW-3 and MW-2/HP-3 respectively. <br /> L. . Quarterly groundwater monitoring will continue at the site. The next event will occur by <br /> December 2000. <br /> • A Vapor Extraction Pilot Test was completed and a Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Report <br /> L dated August 8,2000 has been submitted to San Joaquin County PHS/EHD. <br /> * GTI completed a June 29, 2000 work plan for three additional monitoring wells, which <br /> Lwas approved by PHSIEHD on July 7, 2000. The wells are being installed the week of <br /> October 16, 2000. <br /> • A remedial action plan is in the process of being prepared to address the vadose zone <br /> Lcontamination at this site. <br /> �I <br />
