w• s <br /> Geofogicaf Technics -Inc. <br /> 2741 River Road <br /> Modesto,California 95351 <br /> (209)538-6424/ga-t#538-5852 <br /> REPORT <br /> Groundwater Monitoring <br /> f 2"d Quarter 2000 <br /> L <br /> City of Escalon <br /> Former Arco Gas Mini Mart <br /> 1350 Escalon Ave. <br /> Escalon, CA <br /> Project No. 750.2 <br /> August 24, 2000 <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> This report summarizes the 2nd Quarter 2000 round of groundwater monitoring and testing <br /> that took place at the site (see Figures 1 & 2) on July 14, 2000• This was the second <br /> consecutive groundwater monitoring event to take place at the facility. The test results show <br /> that detectable concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in one of three monitoring wells. The fuel <br /> oxygenate compound, MTBE, was also present in this well (1\4W-1). This is consistent with <br /> the results of the initial groundwater monitoring conducted on April 18 98 <br /> IGroundwater gradient is 0.0024 ft/ft flowing N72'W. Depth to groundwater at the site was <br /> rapproximately 61.5 feet below ground surface (bgs). <br /> 1.0 GROUNDWATER <br /> MONITORING <br /> 1.1 Hydrogeology of Site <br /> The dominant soil type in the upper 75 feet of subsurface geologic soils investigated is sand, <br /> with fine to� coarse-grained texture. Varying amounts of silt and silty sand were encountered from borehole to borehole. A couple of laterally discontinuous clay lenses were encountered <br /> in a few of the boreholes. <br />
