(Ground Zero) and has the following comments.
The Workplan details the proposed removal of shallow soil from the subject property that
was impacted with petroleum hydrocarbons as a result of runoff from an adjacent
property. Laboratory analytical results from soil samples collected six inches and 3 feet
below surface grade (bsg) indicate the depth of the impact does not exceed approximately
6 inches bsg. The proposal is to remove soil to a depth of 1-foot bsg, with a lateral area of
approximately 30 inches wide by 30 feet long. The excavated soil will be stockpiled and
covered with plastic. Soil samples for laboratory analysis will be collected from the floor of
the excavation, and from the soil stockpile. After the laboratory analytical results are
received, the stockpiled soil will be disposed of at an appropriate landfill.
The EHD approves the proposed scope of work. Please provide 48 hours notice prior to
the start of the fieldwork. A Report of Findings documenting the work is due for submittal
to the EHD within 60 days following completion of the fieldwork. If you have any questions
please contact Lori Duncan at (209)468-0337 or by email at Iduncanno sicehd.com.
Sincerely,, / I
16-M 1 1111'Ilt 4—
U Gd2/.1Y7i2fL(li.GTv'^tJ
Lori Duncan, REHS Adrienne Elisaesser, REHS
Senior Registered Environmental Health Specialist Acting Program Coordinator
c: Eric Price, Ground Zero, 1714 Main Street, Escalon, CA 95320
John Davis, McDowell & Davis Towing, 1360 Escalon Avenue, Escalon, CA 95320
