Kloberdanz&Associates and has the following comments.
The report documents a groundwater monitoring and sampling event that was performed at
the site on November 20, 2001. Groundwater samples for analysis were collected from the
three groundwater monitoring wells currently onsite. Analytical results were reported as
below detection limits for all petroleum hydrocarbon and fuel oxygenate constituents. Please
note that the date on the 'Laboratory Groundwater Sample Results' table, which is on page 2
of the report, is incorrect.
Four groundwater monitoring and sampling events have been conducted at this site.
Analytical results from two of these events were negative for all constituents analyzed.
Results from the other two events were positive for petroleum hydrocarbons and/or fuel
oxygenates. SJC/EHD directs that routine quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling
continue at this site until further notice. The next event must be conducted in February 2002.
In addition, a sensitive receptortwell survey must be completed for this site. The survey must
identify all potential receptors located within a 2000-foot radius of the site, including any
municipal, domestic, agricultural, industrial or other wells. The construction and current
usage of the wells, if known, must be included in the survey.
Two soils investigations have been conducted at this site. Please have your consultant
prepare a calculation of contaminant mass remaining in the soil, and evaluate the potential
need to remediate this contamination.
If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at (209)468-0337.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
at Ns-wl L j (?
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV
cc: Marty Hartzell, CVRWQCB
Mike Kloberdanz, MJK
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
