McDowell & Davis Towing
Quarterly Groundwater Sampling Report
Page: 2 May 2003
0.17 feet from the January 20, 2003 monitoring event. A groundwater hydrograph is
presented in Figure 4.
Groundwater Elevations 05-05-03
Well Collar Elevation I DTW GW Elevation
MW-1 118.14 63.65 54.49
MW-2 1 118.79 63.29 55.5
MW-3 118.39 63.05 55.34
Groundwater flow was to the southwest (south 50 west) with a shallow gradient (0.015
ft/11). The potentiometric surface and groundwater flow direction are shown on figure 2
Site Map / Groundwater Flow. Gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons and aromatic
compounds were not detected in any of the monitoring wells. MTBE was detected in well
MW3 at below water quality concentrations. The dissolved oxygen concentrations show
a dramatic drop in well MW 1 indicating increased biologic activity in the area of the
former dispenser island.
- Laboratorx Groundwater Sample Results 5-5-03
Sample I.D. Previous monitoring events
have detected gasoline and gasoline constituents at concentrations that exceeded
established water quality goals. Gasoline and gasoline constituents have been detected in
soil samples collected at depths of 15 and 25 feet in the vicinity of the former dispenser
island. Scheduled quarterly groundwater monitoring will continue.
