San Joaquin Street
P.O. Box 2009
Stockton, Ca. 95201
RE: Maximum concentrations for closure at Derickson Trucking.
Dear Mr. Collins:
Pursuant to our conversation today on the phone, we discussed allowable maximum
concentrations for TPH(d) and BTEX constituents in remediated soils from the
Derickson Trucking Excavation. It was agreed that 100ppm for TPH(d) and non-detect
for BTEX would be allowed for closure.
Two composite samples were collected on October 6, 1993 in order to review
progress. Exhibit 1 shows a partitioned view of the treatment cell with the
corresponding results. Although D-C-7 indicated a low concentration, D-C-2 is still
impacted above concentrations which would deem this soil remediated. It is
AquaGeosciences, Inc.. recommendation that the treatment cell be watered and tilled
for approximately one more month before additional sampling takes place.
We will notify you in advance to final sampling dates. Final sampling will entail 7
composite samples. Exhibit 1 shows the grid that will be used and the composite
samples will include four sampling points with in each numbered grid. Since D-C-7
passed the above criteria, it is hoped that this portion of the treatment cell will not have
to be sampled again. Enclosed are the results with the chain-of-custody.
Should you disagree with any part of this letter or have suggestions, please feel free to
call at 1-800-301-4244.
Respectfully Submitted
AquaGeosaences, Inc.
L
Patrick McCullough
Staff Geologist
1701 Westwind Drive,Suite 101 Bakersfield,California 93301
(805)328-0962 0 FAX(805)328-1129
