I. INTRODUCTION
Dillon & Murphy was retained by Reliable Trucking to perform a soil suitability study
for the S.T. & E. R.R. property located at the north end of Gertrude Ave, Stockton, CA. The
subject parcel number is APN 143-27-67. The purpose of the study is to determine the
suitability of the property for septic tank usage as required by the County. The study was
performed according to the requirements of Section 10100 of San Joaquin County
Development Code.
II. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The property is currently zoned I-W. The S.T. & E. R.R. property consists of a 15.9
acre parcel (see appendix for map).
III. PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE
Presently, the parcel is bare ground. It has historically been undeveloped land.
IV. SOIL PROFILE AND PERCOLATION TESTS
See Appendix.
V. GROUND WATER AND DEPTH TESTING
According to the map of "Lines of Equal Depth of Water in Wells" published Fall, 1990, by
the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conversation District, the depth to
groundwater at this location is approximately 75 feet.
VI. CONCLUSION
Based on the results of the percolation test and the soil profile, it is Dillon & Murphy's
opinion that the existing subject property is suited for a typical on-site sewage disposal system.
The proposed system, however, should be properly designed and installed according to the
current San Joaquin County criteria.
It should be noted that the location of the percolation test was chosen near the proposed
disposal field.
Based on the depth to ground water in the area, and the number of employees
impacting the system, it is our opinion that the installation of any new proposed septic system,
if properly installed, should not adversely affect the quality of ground water in the area.
1
