The following information
was collected to clarify two points in our Reconnaissance Environmental Assessment
report submitted by Wright regarding the property referenced above.
`. Past Property Use. Thomas Pereira has been in control of the estate of Maria R.
Pereira which is the site in question for over 20-years and according to conversations
with Mr. Pereira the land has always been used for either alph alpha or corn. The
land was used for the production of tomatoes for only one year out of the entire
period mentioned above. Farm equipment has been staged on-site for the entire
period of control as well. According to Mr. Pereira the land has only been used for
those crops listed above and from time to time the land is disked with the associated
staged farm equipment and left fallow for short periods of time after which the land is
again used for crop production as stated in our January 31, 2002 report.
Septic System. Wright was unable to locate any records indicating the presence of a
septic system located on the referenced property as indicated in our January 31, 2002
report. The property in question does contain a single-family residence, which would
ultimately lead Wright to believe that there is a septic system used for the single-
family residence on-site, but there are no records on-file with San Joaquin County to
support this assumption. During the site reconnaissance Wright did not observe any
obvious staining or odors around the single-family residence indicative of septic
contamination.
67 E. 10th Street • Tracy,CA 95376
209.833.0758 • Fax 209.832.5152
wright@inreach.com Lic. #651501 A-BHazMat Page 1 oft
websit hup:11home.inm=h.com/wright
