L - L ✓
t
- TED{EIRA-SOUZA PROPERTY Page 8
WKA No. 5475.03
i June 2, 2003
t
r.
At?ricultural Review
We discussed the agricultural history of the subject property with a staff member at the San
Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioners Office. The staff member at the Agricultural
Commissioners office informed us that the property was predominantly used for hay crops.
The staff member from the Agricultural Commissioners office explained that Restricted Use
Permits and Annual Pesticide Use Reports could be obtained at the San Joaquin County
Agricultural Commissioner's Office. The property has been farmed under Permit Nos. 39-
3900463 and 39-3902186 for years 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999 and 1998. The staff member stated
that agricultural chemicals used today typically do not persist in site soils for more than one year
when properly mixed and applied. As such, these modern pesticides, when used and applied
properly, are not a significant concern in an environmental site assessment. We observed no
1. obvious surficial evidence of chemical misuse during our field reconnaissance.
Historic Topographic Maps Review
i
We reviewed historic U.S. Geologic Survey(USGS)topographic maps with coverage of the subject
and adjacent properties at the California State Library. Maps dated 1914 and 1978 were reviewed;
i the results of the maps review are each discussed below. It should be noted that the 1914
t topographic map was named Bethany. The 1978 version of the topographic map containing the
. subject property(Clifton Court Forebay, California) is included as Plate 2. The property lies in the
southeast portion of Section 16,Township 2 South,Range 4 East, Mount Diablo Base and
Meridian. The property has a USGS-reported ground surface elevation of approximately+60 feet
to+80 feet mean sea level(msl).
1914 Map
., On the 1914 map,the subject property is mapped as undeveloped land. No structures are
mapped on the property. An improved road (currently identified as Grant Line Road) is mapped
to the south of the property. The Alameda County and San Joaquin County boundary line is
mapped approximately 5700 feet to the west of the property. An improved road (currently
identified as Mountain House Parkway) is mapped to the east of the property.
rr.
Li
INK
` WALLACE•KUHL
_ &ASSOCIATES INC
