With respect to emergency medical services, these services are coordinated by the San <br /> Joaquin County Emergency Medical Services Agency and are provided to the Mountain <br /> House community by private ambulance agencies. In addition, emergency medical <br /> services are provided by ambulance from the Tracy Hospital Ambulance. Response time <br /> to the project site is less than five minutes. <br /> Law enforcement services would be provided by the MHCSD. The MHCSD provides <br /> these services via a contract with the San Joaquin County Sheriff. There is a sheriff's <br /> office at the Mountain House fire station. A permanent Sheriffs substation is scheduled to <br /> be built in the Town Center before the population of Mountain House reaches 7,500. The <br /> current population of Mountain House is estimated at 6,500. <br /> o Parks. In addition to the open space amenities provided by the linear park, residents of <br /> the proposed development would be able to use the neighborhood park planned for <br /> development west of the proposed K-8 school, west of Prosperity Street. <br /> o Telephone.Telephone and cable service would be provided by the MHCSD, which may <br /> subcontract with another entity to provide such service to residences in the project area. <br /> Currently, the MHCSD has subcontracted with SBC Communications to provide <br /> telephone service and with Charter Communications to provide cable services (e.g., cable <br /> television and other video-based services, on-demand interactive multimedia applications, <br /> voice and data services, and information services). <br /> o Electrical/Gas Lines. The Modesto Irrigation District would provide electricity and Pacific <br /> Gas and Electric would provide gas service.
