A broad range of plant species shall be used throughout the project area to enhance the visual quality of the project and accomplish location-specific objectives such as shading, screening, and framing of views. 2. Project entry and arrival points shall be emphasized with planting and 1 monumentation. 3. Project planting adjacent to public streets surrounding the project should complement street tree planting on those streets, while giving the project a distinctive and distinguished look. 4. Planting shall include a variety of tree species prominently featuring those of tall, spreading and deciduous habit, in order to provide windbreaks and k ' summer shade, and to facilitate solar gain in winter. 5. Special consideration will be required for plantings within the PG&E easement portion of the Linear Park. Plantings within the easement shall be approved by PG&E. 2.7. Compatibility of Constructed Elements 1. Buildings, walls, fences and other constructed elements of the project shall be styled in such a way as to be visually compatible with and complementary to the common architectural theme for the neighborhood. 2. Walls and fences on residential collector streets at neighborhood entries and abutting the Linear Park shall be of aesthetically appropriate and durable materials. 'F 3. Constructed elements of project landscaping, such as mailboxes, trellises, signage at project entries and throughout the site, benches, etc., shall be visually compatible with the architecture of the project and with the style chosen as the Neighborhood D theme.
