ec al POI-Pose Pl to Cassano Kainilos t:i:anlcs at College Park. <br /> 2.6 Landscape Theme <br /> i <br /> Landscaping within the project area, shown conceptually in Figure 2.5, shall help , <br /> I <br /> create a distinct, aesthetically rich, functional and cohesive project by <br /> implementing the following: <br /> 1. A broad range of plant species shall be used throughout the project area to <br /> enhance the visual quality of the project and accomplish location-specific <br /> objectives such as shading, screening, and framing of views. <br /> 2. Project entry and arrival points shall be emphasized with planting and 1 <br /> monumentation. <br /> 3. Project planting adjacent to public streets surrounding the project should <br /> complement street tree planting on those streets, while giving the project a <br /> distinctive and distinguished look. <br /> 4. Planting shall include a variety of tree species prominently featuring those of <br /> tall, spreading and deciduous habit, in order to provide windbreaks and k <br />' summer shade, and to facilitate solar gain in winter. <br /> 5. Special consideration will be required for plantings within the PG&E <br /> easement <br /> portion of the Linear Park. Plantings within the easement shall be <br /> approved by PG&E. <br /> 2.7. Compatibility of Constructed Elements <br /> 1. Buildings, walls, fences and other constructed elements of the project shall be <br /> styled in such a way as to be visually compatible with and complementary to <br /> the common architectural theme for the neighborhood. <br /> 2. Walls and fences on residential collector streets at neighborhood entries and <br /> abutting the Linear Park shall be of aesthetically appropriate and durable <br /> materials. <br />'F 3.
