The
Department has the following comments:
During the review process for the nearby Mountain House community, the need to
dedicate land for a west bound commercial truck bypass facility on the north side oft-205
was identified. This improvement is needed to facilitate the movement of commercial
truck traffic through the Mountain House area of 1-205 which is experiencing a
significant amount of cumulative traffic impacts due to local development.
The facility is anticipated to be located between Greenville Road in Livermore (Alameda
County) and 1 l' Street in Tracy (San Joaquin County) along the north side of the 1-205
facility. The right of way necessary to construct this project is located within the southern
portion of the parcel identified for the proposed Subdivision. Development of this
property must be compatible with the proposed transportation improvement.-,. An
irrevocable offer of dedication (IOD) should be made to allow for construction of the
future truck bypass facility.
"Caltranr improves mobility across Califor0a
