Gubac, Environmental Specialist conducted the field
reconnaissance and also the interview with Mr. Chuck Tuso, the property owner on
April 22,2003 for the June 2003 ESA. Mr. Gubac also conducted the updated field
reconnaissance and updated interview with Mr. Tuso, for the attached ESA Update on
October 31, 2005.
SICEHD Comment 3.1: A review ofEHD information for sites within one-quarter mile of the
subject property was not indicated in the report.
Response to Comment 3.1: WKA reviewed applicable regulatory agency files, as necessary, for
sites provided by Environmental Data Resources, Inc. (EDR)that may have an impact to the
subject property. EDR gets their information from federal, state and county agency listed sites
located within the American Society for Testing and Materials designated search radii of the
subject property.
SICEHD Comments 3.4/3.5: The impact (if any) of a local dairy operation, as a possible source
of contamination to the subject property, is to be addressed.
Response to Comments 3.4/3.5: The closest dairy is located over a half-mile away, to the east of
the subject property. Groundwater beneath the subject property typically flows northeast,
therefore, the potential for groundwater impacted by the dairy to migrate to the subject property
is low. In addition, the developer of the dairy property will perform their due diligence and
remediate any contamination encountered during construction activities.
SICEHD Comments 5.3/5.4: It is unclear whose signature is on the report and the signature for
Mr. Flores appears to be a copy and not an original. Additionally, this report was not submitted
within six months of the submittal of the land use application. The applicant is therefore
required to submit an updated addendum to the surface subsurface contamination report
indicating any environmental changes to the subject property that may have occurred since the
submittal of the previous report. If no significant changes have occurred since that time, this is
to be indicated in the required response.
INK
WALLACE•KUHL
E,ASSOCIATES INC.
