Based on Master Plan school generation assumptions, the project
is expected to generate 36 K-8 students and 10 high school students.
Educational services would.be provided by the Lammersville Elementary School District
(LESD), for grades K-8, and by the Tracy Unified School District (TUSD), for grades 9-12.
As housing units are occupied in the project, K-8 students would attend either Wicklund
School in Neighborhood F or Bethany School in Neighborhood E, prior to the construction
of the first K-8 school in Neighborhood A/B. (See Figure 1.) The Master Plan states that a
new high school I (Phase 1)would be constructed when there are approximately 650 high
school students in Mountain House. Until such time that the new high school is
constructed, students would attend West High School located about five miles from.the
project in the City of Tracy.
o Public Health and Safety Services. Fire protection and emergency medical response
services would be provided by the Mountain House Community Services District
(MHCSD). The MHCSD provides these services via an agreement with the Tracy Rural
Fire Protection District (TRFPD). TRFPD in turn has a Joint Powers Agreement with the
City of Tracy to provide fire protection services to the Mountain House community. A fire
station to serve the Mountain House Community has been constructed at the corner of
Mascot Boulevard and Tradition Street approximately 1 mile north of the project site and
is currently staffed with a three person engine company.
With respect to emergency medical services, these services are coordinated by the San
Joaquin County Emergency Medical Services Agency and provided to the Mountain
House Community by private ambulance agencies. In addition, emergency medical
— services are provided with an ambulance from the Tracy Hospital Ambulance. Response
time to the project site is less than five minutes.
Law enforcement services would be provided by the MHCSD. The MHCSD provides
these services via a contract with the San Joaquin County Sheriff. The County Sheriff
operates its patrol division and jail facilities at French Camp, located approximately 15
miles east of the Mountain House Community between the City of Stockton and the City
of Manteca. Currently, there is a Sheriff's office located at the Mountain House Fre
— 11
