The lowest elevation of the project site is higher than the tops of the levees <br /> along the south side of Old River, thus the site would not be subject to flooding if a levee <br /> along Old River should fail. Although unlikely,if a severe earthquake should rupture the <br /> Delta Mendota Canal or the California Aqueduct, the pump stations that feed the canals <br /> would be shut down to save water and avoid any downstream flooding until the canals could <br /> be repaired. <br /> 4 Mitigation Measures <br /> No mitigation measures are required. <br /> L <br /> j) Inundation by seiche, tsunami, or mudf ow? <br /> im. The proposed project would not be subject to a seiche or tsunami because the project site is <br /> not located near any large water bodies.
