AND, REZONE APPLICATION TO REZONE 37.3 <br /> ACRES FROM CROSSROADS COMMERCIAL TO RURAL SERVICE <br /> COMMERCIAL, AND TO REZONE 24 ACRES FROM GENREAL <br /> AGRICULTURE TO RURAL SERVICE COMMERCIAL. <br /> Dear Ms Jolley: <br /> The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (District) has reviewed the <br /> proposed reorganization and offers the following comments: <br /> The entire San Joaquin Valley is a nonattainment area for ozone and fine particulate <br /> matter (PM-10). Based on the information provided, the General Plan application and <br /> rezoning of the above mentioned project would allow for future development in the <br /> project area. Thus, the buildout of the project area with industrial uses would contribute <br /> to the overall decline of air quality due to increased vehicle traffic, the operation of <br /> landscape maintenance equipment, and other ancillary and point sources.
