Client: Carl & Nancy Serpa QCI#: E-91-639
Project: Soil Suitability Study
Subject Property: The South 1/2 of Section 23 , Township 1 South,
Range 9 East, M.D. B. and M. San Joaquin County. Parcel No. 2 of
A.P.N. 207-290-19 , Lot 36 of Oakdale Irrigated Acres. Property
Address: 29554 Grooms Road. Minor Sub Number: 91-83
[1] EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
_ This Soil Suitability Study presents the results of our
investigation concerning the soil strata under the subject property
referenced above. This study was performed to determine if this
site is acceptable for a septic system with regard to producing no
adverse environmental impact to surface waters, or the underlying
groundwater. This report is in compliance with the requirements
of Section 9-10100 Item (c) of the San Joaquin County Ordinance No.
3323 , Division 10, Chapter 2 .
[2] SUBJECT SITE AND STUDY AREA BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The subject site consists of two parcels, Parcel No. 1 and Parcel
No. 2 that are approximately 10 and 11 acres each, respectively.
Parcel No. 2 is the subject parcel . Each parcel is approximately
680 feet by 664 feet. There are currently no improvements to the
subject parcel , and it has been used primarily as pasture land for
cattle grazing. The San Joaquin County Soil Survey Map indicates
_ the subject property is predominately a Hanford Sandy Loam, with
some Oakdale Sandy Loam. There is no record of any structures that
have previously existed on the subject parcel .
The topography of the subject site is relatively flat with a slight
"decline" of the terrain towards the Lone Tree Creek, which is the
southern border of the subject parcel . There is a "lined"
irrigation canal referred to as the Hirshfeld Lateral owned by the
Oakdale Irrigation District (OID) that traverses Parcel No. 1 in
' 1
s
