Surface and Subsurface ContamSetion Report*APN: 207-290-03 & 16*Parcel Ne./1, 2, 3,4&Des.Rem.
The subject property is in an area known to contain 21 to 44 parts per million
Nitrate (NO3).
A binder entitled"Underground Tank Site Mitigation Database List" also
available in the Environmental Health Department's office was consulted and no
underground tanks were listed in the binder for the subject property.
According to the aforementioned maps DBCP, Nitrates and underground tanks do
not appear to be contamination contributors on the subject property.
Well Water Analysis:
The results of well water was tests for Dibromochloropropane(DBCP) and
Nitrates (NO3) are made an integral part of this study by including the results of A& L
Western Agricultural Laboratories testing which is contained in their attached letters
dated September 12, 2002 and September 25,2002 and are attached to this report. The
results of the A&L Agricultural Laboratories tests on the sampled well water are
summarized as follows:
Chemical Constituents
Dibromochloropropane(DBCP) lue/Ll Nitrate(NO3) lmgU
0.01 18 4/
The Nitrate(NO3) and Dibromochloropropane(DBCP)concentrations for the
well water sampled are well within the State's standards for safe public drinking water
established at 0.2 ug/L and 45 mg/L for Dibromochloropropane(DBCP)and Nitrates
(NO3)respectively.
Mitigation Measures: Since no animals were found on the subject property, no
excessive nitrate concentrations are anticipated from animal overpopulation and no
correction for excess nitrate concentration is recommended
No chemical residues or spillage of hazardous material or improper storage was
noted.
The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's report shows that the
property owner has been complying with all rules and regulations for the appropriate safe
storage and use of chemicals in producing agricultural crops. This compliance should
then not produce any excessive or detrimental concentrations on the subject property.
Also no recorded failure of the septic systems installed was evident or found to
cause any problems of this type of contamination.
Also there does not appear to have been any subsurface construction present or
past that would contribute to below ground contamination.
1r 1. ilntm it -----70707 Ornoma Road----Oakdale-----('alifnmia 0"61 0
